What does the assessment process entail?
Church planting applicants willingly take part in an initial assessment process, realizing that emotional, physical, and spiritual health is an integral part of missionary success. GCM is committed to training and sending church planters that first of all have a strong faith in God and a sense of His calling. These individuals also demonstrate high stress resilience, emotional stability, coping skills, and relational maturity. Future church planters would be asked to complete:
- An extensive application including a spiritual biography
- Psychological evaluation, clinical interview and assessment weekend
- Final interview with GCM staff
After applicants successfully complete the assessment process, the GCM staff prayerfully arrives at a final decision regarding each candidate’s application. The majority of applicants are invited to partner with GCM in a church planting project.
